Admission Procedure
Applying to The English College Dubai begins with an online form and a non-refundable 500 AED fee, which covers the assessment and secures the child’s place in the process. Families submit a passport, birth certificate, recent school reports, and any documentation related to additional educational support if relevant. The assessment itself is non-selective, setting this institution apart from many others. From Year 3 onwards, children take the CAT4 cognitive test, and in some year groups they also meet with teachers to help identify each student’s strengths. Once these stages are complete, the family receives an official offer letter.
Fee Structure at The English College Dubai
Tuition varies by age group. The preschool division charges 41,000-46,000 AED annually for three- to five-year-olds, while primary and middle school fees range from 53,000 to 61,817 AED per year. Sixth Form students following A Level or BTEC programmes pay 68,265 AED, split across three terms. A deposit of 10% is required upfront and later deducted from the first term’s payment. Students transferring from other Dubai schools also pay a 120 AED KHDA administrative fee, which their previous school collects during the transfer process.
Additional Costs
Transport is arranged through Busco, which families can contact by email or phone to discuss routes and schedules. Catering comes from SwissCanonica, with students ordering healthy meals made from local ingredients via the Spare app and paying either termly or monthly. Uniforms are available through the Trutex website or the on-site shop, where appointments are booked online and the store opens three mornings and evenings each week. Beyond these essentials, children can join various clubs spanning sports, music, art, and technology—activities that help them develop creative skills and learn to work as part of a team.
